My name is Jennifer Kerr, and I am the founder, owner, and lead creator of The Wondering Workshop LLC. My journey to this creative sanctuary began with a personal turning point nearly eight years ago when I chose to leave alcohol behind.

Finding a New Rhythm When I stopped drinking, I realized how much of my life had centered around social environments where alcohol was the focus. I had spent years investing my energy into the "next glass," and I found myself searching for a way to redirect that same passion into something measurable and meaningful. I needed a new path that didn't just fill my time, but filled my spirit.

The Spark of Creation During the quiet days of the global pandemic, I picked up a crochet hook and discovered a deep sense of escape. I began creating amigurumi characters, finding immense joy in watching inanimate materials come to life through my own hands. What started as a hobby grew into several years of creating commissioned pieces, but I soon felt a pull for something more—deep, social connection.

The New Year Resolution

 Making friends and finding community in mid-life can be a challenge. To bridge that gap, I made a New Year’s resolution to host one event per month where I could learn a new craft alongside others. I wanted to create a space for adults to engage, learn, and build friendships without the pressure of a bar scene. This resolution became the heartbeat of The Wondering Workshop.

Our Sanctuary Today Through all of these adventures, I have finally found a place that feels truly measurable. My life has transformed completely over the past year, and I owe so much of that success to the unwavering support of my husband and our five dogs.
